Time For More Breaks…

I hope you’ve read my previous blog relating to the topic of taking a break from your daily routine. I know that this is nothing new but this issue is still considered as unnecessary leisure and non-productive activity by the majority of people and until you’ve taken action towards taking a time out, then I will still continue to rant
I am writing to you from Paris and today I had the pleasure of walking around the scenic parks and watching people walk by, holding hands and enjoying the view of Eiffel Tower and River Seine. The day has been great and weather was perfect. It was sunny with clear blue sky. Honestly, you just couldn’t ask for more.
I travel very frequently and I am fortunate enough to be able to decide when and where to travel at any time I wish. Fortunately, most of these trips have been for leisurely pleasures and as a result, my creative juice flows like the Niagara Falls. It just never stops.
Hence, I never stop taking a break and I am committed to indulging in a break even for 5 minutes.
Yes that’s true. You can still take a break for less than 5 minutes and feel much better.
Now this is what I do:
1. Go to a quiet place.
2. Shut my eye.
3. Play my favourite relaxing CD / IPOD – “The Most Relaxing Classical Music in the Universe “ (Highly Recommended – You can get it off Itunes or Amazon).
4. Take a few deep breaths.
5. Start imagining on life pleasures eg: holidays, family, happiness, fun experiences etc
6. Relax every muscle of the body.
7. Continue to relax for 5-10 minutes.
8. I slowly open up my eyes.
9. Take a few deep breaths again.
10. That’s it – I AM READY!!
This technique has never failed me and it has tremendous effect on relaxing and calming me down from daily stresses so I can face and complete any mind boggling tasks full on.
If you do have any other techniques, please share it with me and other readers on this blog.
Your ideas and comments are always welcomed.
